Mmmm Cheese and Wine. I think that combination trumps chocolate and peanut butter (and I love chocolate and peanut butter). There is nothing better than a slightly spicy glass of Syrah with a creamy cheese. Throw in some salami and you’ve got yourself the best trio known to man (eh, women, really). I had a wonderful glass of Syrah (okay, technically I had two glasses) and a scrumptious cheese board at Clay Pigeon Winery. I was photographing the “Speed Networking” event for the Portland Bloggers. Of course I took a lot of photos of the actual event itself but during the midst of all the chatting and networking I made myself a cheese board and snapped a few photos. I had an appointment after the event so unfortunately I was not able to stay for dinner as I know of some of my fellow blogger friends did. You’ll have to check out their posts for a full write-up. However based on the cheese and wine alone (not to mention the space is beautiful) I would highly recommend checking out Cyril’s at Clay Pigeon Winery (815 SE Oak St. PDX). I know I will definitely make it back there for dinner. Enjoy the photos.
The Speed Networking event was a hit. Think of speed dating- only instead of finding your one true love you get to hear all about people’s awesome blogs and websites and ideas. You should have heard the buzz when it started, everyone was chatting away while enjoying a complimentary beverage from Clay Pigeon Winery. I didn’t actually participate in the speed networking but I still walked away with a lot of new connections, including the first lovely lady I chatted with whom happened to be from my home state of Indiana. (Lindsey, we’ll have to get together soon!) Needless to say it was a great event and I am looking forward to the next event. Thank You to Bee, Jenni, Macey and Suzannah for all your hard work… and of course thank you again to Cyril’s at Clay Pigeon Winery for hosting the Portland Bloggers.
