Wendy and Sue, owners of Fireside, were pretty excited about the images I sent them from my “mini shoot” at their restaurant. They hired me to do a full restaurant photo shoot which included some delicious dinner entrees, exotic cocktails and a cool atmosphere. This was such a fun photo shoot for me, I really enjoyed it. Every time they brought out a new entree I got excited to find some light and capture the amazing work their chef, Henry Kibit, created. Their food is “outdoor inspired cuisine; think campfires, outdoor bbq’s and picnics.” I photographed their meat snack board which has salami, chicken liver mousse, pork pate, pork rillettes from their small plates menu. I also photographed their farro salad, mussels, N.Y. steak and their pork with apricots and pole beans. Of course the biggest bonus of being a food photographer is nibbling on everything once it’s shot. I can tell you everything I put in my mouth was divine. Fireside is located on NW 23rd, go check them out and tell Wendy and Sue (make sure she makes you one of her speciality cocktails) that I sent you. I hope you enjoy the photos.
