It’s hard for me to make it over to NE Portland. When I heard about Old Salt Market I made a special trip out there to chow on a sandwich. I loved the ambiance that the new restaurant has, very rustic and country. If they had a pair of antlers on the wall and I’d call it home. If what I’ve hard is true Old Salt Marketplace has been around for at least a little while providing NE Portlanders a place to pick-up some wonderful cuts of meat. The restaurant is the new addition. I stopped in for lunch so I was only able to try the soups and sandwiches. The dinner menu starts at 5:00. I will definitely be returning to try their dinner options, especially if it was as good as their Italian sandwich and broccoli soup. The meats were divine, the bread was perfect- what more could you ask for? If you’re in the area definitely stop on in for bite. If you’re headed in for dinner either A- invite me to tag along or B- don’t tell me because I’ll be jealous. Enjoy the photos.
Gorgeous as always!
Wow, that’s some awesome looking pickled cauliflower! I love that stuff!
i love places like this, must go try!
OMG! Thank you for posting this! My coworker’s friend/former coworker started this place, and she just told me about it but I couldn’t remember the name! Yay! We have got to go check it out and look at their meats. My husband and I just visited a local butcher shop with some quality local meats and I love finding these places! I don’t eat sandwiches but I looove good meat! Here’s his post about our trip… http://www.grassfedgeek.com/2013/06/visit-to-meating-place.html
