Finger licking chicken skins with buttermilk ranch, Brussels Sprouts with bacon dressing and pickled shallots, mac and cheese with bagel pretzel crumbs, lamb belly pho and pulled pork banh mi. I just wanted to grab your taste bud’s attention first. Now that you’re hungry, I can tell you where to find these delicious eats = Ex Novo Brewery.
With all the breweries popping up around Portland it’s hard to decide where to spend your money. Portland is known for beer and food. You’d have a hard time finding a brewery where you would spit out the beer and throw your entree in the trash. So you know when you visit a brewery, you’re probably going to enjoy the libations and grub. So why go to Ex Novo over other breweries? They are a 10-barrel non-profit brewery. “We want to make as much money as we can, so we can give it away. We are committed to donating 100% of our net profits to organizations that are working to affect positive social changes both in Portland and around the world.” So they have the beer, they have the food and they have a purpose. I love it!
For more information on their purpose or a list of the beers on tap, check out their website.
I was fortunate enough to photograph some of the amazing menu items. I hope you enjoy the photos and I encourage you to put Ex Novo at the top of your breweries-to-try list. Every time you take a sip or bite, you’re helping others in need. Cheers to that!
