I know, they look like jewels- only you can eat these gems because they’re chocolate! In my opinion, that’s even better. These gorgeous handcrafted chocolates are from Gorges Confections in Hood River, Oregon. I recently photographed Jessica Wright for 1859 Magazine and saw firsthand what all goes into making truffles, chocolate bars, and even homemade marshmallows.
Jessica was a blast to photograph. And I absolutely loved how this story turned out. A few full-page spreads in 1859 because her chocolates are so damn pretty. You’ll have to grab the September-October issue (it’s still out!) and check it out for yourself. Next time you’re in Hood River, stop by her cute shop and pick up some bars (suggestion: “windburn” it’s like an Almond Joy.)
