So, it’s summer. And one of the greatest things that Summer brings forth is fresh vegetables (possibly from your own garden) and amazing fresh fruit (that you probably picked from the local farm). Summer makes it easier for us to eat healthier because the produce is in full force. If you’re working on eating healthy, this is always a good time to start. My previous post was about healthy eating too and has tons of helpful information from a nutritionist. (If you missed that post, check it out here.) It’s hard to stay with your healthy eating habits when hitting up the restaurant scene. Portland Monthly is here to help you out this summer. They’ve found the 10 Best Healthy Dishes of 2016.
I had the pleasure of photographing this two-day project for the magazine. I hit up five different restaurants each day and photographed their healthy eats. The project was a “whiteboard” photo shoot so that the awesome designers at PoMo could have some fun with the layout. I am not going to post those particular photos here. You’ll have to read the article to check those photos out. Yes, check the photos out quickly, but if I were you I’d put that food in front of my face instead. I ate all the dishes that are featured (David and I ate very well for two days) and I can say that they are all super yummy. Anyway… back to the photos. Like I said, I’m not going to post the whiteboard photos, but while I was out on the project I snapped a few outtakes. I thought I’d share some fun photos- shots of nice light, funky decor and a few food outtakes. Enjoy!
