Portland Food Photographer- Oxbow Ceramics

I came across Megan’s ceramic work via Instagram.  (I mean where else do we find exciting things now outside of the wonderful gram world??)  I messaged her right away and told her that I thought not only were her bowls and plates beautiful but the concept of water maps on the dishes is simply brilliant.  I’m a water person myself, I love lakes, rivers, oceans and yes, pools.  (I am a swimmer after all.)  I was drawn to her work and we decided to collaborate.   I photographed a Dungeness Crab (my first time cooking one) and one of my favorite Spring Salads.  If you’d like the recipe you can send me a message.  This post is all about the ceramics! The longer platter I used has the Oregon Coastal Map etched into the plate and the serving bowl has the Willamette River map. Pretty cool, huh?  Check out Megan’s beautiful work and be sure to purchase a bowl or plate, they make wonderful gifts for the water lover in your life.
